Paleo-artartart
Dinosaurs are not organic Transformers. They were not created to sell merchandise or satisfy your creative urge. Being a dinosaur freak obliges one to a passion about the natural sciences as a whole, and ultimately to a respect for the systems within the planet we live on.
That’s from me, over at artEvolved. If your interested, go read what I have to say.

relax…. dont cut your ear off…
what about pixar bugs life with 4 legged ants ?
if dinos get more merchandised –> more kids like dinos —> more interrest in history –> more money for scienes
turn the enemy into ally…

I don’t think that equation is working… more kids like dinos, but science budgets get cut. They do make more vfx flicks though. Good for us, but bad for the science.

at least is better then vampires with twilight-crap…
if they make movies where dinos posing and wisper “i love your forever” and you see teenager with t-shirt”only dinos loves you for centuries” –> you are in deep scheissse

LoL!
Okay… it’s not that bad.
But it makes a good point – there aren’t many scientists applying for grants to study vampire locomotion or the chemistry of garlic aversion, but there is probably just as many cinema-generated funding to spread around.
It would be interesting to find out if these tv documentaries do indeed generate funding monies, and how much.
